Sophia is a self-taught artist who was born and raised in Colorado. Her artwork aims to reflect the serenity of our natural world while incorporating the Sleeping Ute Mountain, a sacred cultural landmark for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe.

In 2026, the U.S. marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Colorado marks the 150th anniversary of our entrance into the Union. To commemorate these twin anniversaries, BHA’s Recovery Cards Project developed eight new greeting cards—including one that celebrates Colorado and one that celebrates America—all within the theme of addiction recovery. “Best Days” is one of the eight cards included in this showcase.
