Jason Link is an Iowa born Colorado transplant drawing cartoons based on lessons learned through recovery. The subject matter gravitates towards substance use and/or mental health. As with Recovery, the drawings don’t always turn out right the first time.

In 2026, the U.S. marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Colorado marks the 150th anniversary of our entrance into the Union. To commemorate these twin anniversaries, BHA’s Recovery Cards Project developed eight new greeting cards—including one that celebrates Colorado and one that celebrates America—all within the theme of addiction recovery. “Always Worth It” is one of the eight cards included in this showcase.
